Why Isotonix Daily Essentials Packets are the best!

There’s nothing more important than taking care of yourself on a daily basis. With the Isotonix Daily Essentials Packets, you can be sure that you’re giving your body the essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients it needs thanks to four essential supplements — Isotonix OPC-3, Isotonix Multivitamin, Isotonix Activated B-Complex and Isotonix Calcium Plus — to promote optimal nutrition. And the best part about it is you can take these packets ON-THE-GO!

Caring for your general health starts with Isotonix OPC-3, an isotonic-capable food supplement made from a combination of bilberry, grape seed, red wine, pine bark extracts and citrus extract bioflavonoids. Studies have shown OPCs to be up to 20 times more powerful than vitamin C and 50 times more powerful than vitamin E in neutralising free radicals. Isotonix OPC-3 contains the only isotonic form of Pycnogenol ® in the world.

Next, Isotonix Multivitamin contains vitamins and minerals to help establish a sound micronutrient foundation to complement your diet. With today’s fast-paced lifestyles, it is important to ensure the body is getting the fuel it needs. Isotonix Multivitamin supplements dietary deficiencies and helps maintain normal metabolic functioning. Eating a balanced diet is always the ideal, however supplements are handy tools when it is difficult to consume the right amounts of vitamins and minerals on a daily basis.

To provide the eight essential B-vitamins that contribute to your body’s metabolism at the cellular level, this kit includes Isotonix Activated B-Complex, which delivers metabolically active forms of vitamins B2, B6, and B12 along with several additional B vitamins and select minerals. By providing the metabolically active forms of these vitamins in isotonic form, you can be certain that your body is getting the vital nutrients it needs quickly and effectively.

Finally, Isotonix Calcium Plus delivers a potent package of calcium and complementary nutrients needed for the maintenance of normal bones. While calcium supplements in tablet form can be difficult for the body to absorb, the unique Isotonix delivery system and the inclusion of beneficial vitamins and minerals — including vitamin D — make Isotonix Calcium Plus more readily bioavailable and easily absorbed by the body.

Daily Essentials & The Advantage of Isotonix Delivery

    Isotonix Delivery System

Isotonix® products are isotonic because they match the fluids in your body, which have an almost constant concentration of dissolved particles like salts, sugars and minerals. At this concentration, nutrients and molecules essential for cell metabolism are most efficiently transported through cell membranes.

Your body transports nutrients into the bloodstream using shuttles. There are a limited number of shuttles and a limited number of absorption sites, so it’s important to deliver nutrients at the right rate for complete absorption.

Isotonix® products have been carefully formulated to clear your stomach at a fast and controlled rate, for maximum absorption of the nutrient-dense solution. And Isotonix® are buffered to resist degradation by stomach acid and to be gentle on your system. It is the most scientifically advanced nutrient delivery system in the world.

    Ingredients

    Grape Seed Extract
Grape seed extract is typically extracted from the seeds of red grapes, which have a high content of compounds known as oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs). Grape seed extract is extremely rich in polyphenols, compounds with high antioxidant activity. Grape seed extract has been found to help maintain cardiovascular health.

    Red Wine Extract
Red wine extract is a powerful antioxidant. This extract is found in grape vines, roots, seeds and stalks, with the highest concentration in the skins. The antioxidant properties of red wine extract contribute to maintaining healthy circulation and overall cardiovascular health.

In the late 1990s, scientists took note of a phenomenon from the French. There were very low rates of cardiovascular problems in the provinces where residents consistently ate high fat foods and drank red wine. Scientists concluded that the protective properties of red wine have helped the French maintain cardiovascular health for years and subsequent scientific studies have further shown that the OPCs found in red wine are particularly beneficial for the cardio vascular health.

    Pine Bark Extract (Pycnogenol®)
Pycnogenol is a natural plant extract from the bark of specific maritime pine trees grown exclusively along the coast of southwest France in Les Landes de Gascogne. This unspoiled and natural forest environment is the unique source of pine bark. Pycnogenol is one of the most researched ingredients in the natural product marketplace. Published findings have demonstrated Pycnogenol’s wide array of beneficial effects on the body. Pine bark extract is an all natural combination of procyanidins, bioflavonoids and organic acids. As a potent antioxidant, Pycnogenol combats oxidative stress. Its super-antioxidant capabilities help support healthy blood glucose levels, maintain joint flexibility and help to promote maintenance of cardiovascular health.

    Bilberry Extract
Bilberry extract is derived from the berry-like fruit of a common European shrub closely related to the blueberry. Extracts of the ripe berry are known to contain flavonoid pigments known as anthocyanins, which are powerful antioxidants. Scientific studies suggest that bilberry extracts may help support visual and cardiovascular health.

    Citrus Extract (Bioflavonoids)
Citrus bioflavonoids are plant compounds that act as light filters and pigments in the plants. These bioflavonoids are also known for their antioxidant properties. They have been found to help maintain cardiovascular health.

    Vitamin A (Beta-Carotene/Vitamin A pre-cursor)
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin. Sources of vitamin A include organ meats (such as liver and kidney), egg yolks, butter, carrot juice, squash, sweet potatoes, spinach, peaches, fortified dairy products and cod liver oil. Vitamin A is also part of a family of compounds including retinol, retinal and beta-carotene. Beta-carotene, also known as pro-vitamin A, can be converted into vitamin A when additional levels are required. All the body’s tissues need Vitamin A for general growth and repair. Vitamin A helps to promote healthy vision and a healthy immune system.

    Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)
The best food sources of vitamin C include all citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruit, lemons and tangerines), strawberries, tomatoes, broccoli, brussel sprouts, peppers and cantaloupe. Vitamin C is a "fragile" vitamin and can be easily destroyed by cooking or exposure of food to oxygen.

Vitamin C contributes to the protection of cell constituents from oxidative damage, in addition to increasing iron absorption. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation and the normal function of bones, teeth, cartilage, gums, skin and blood vessels. Vitamin C contributes to the normal function of both the immune and nervous systems. Vitamin C contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and it may contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Vitamin C contributes to the regeneration of the reduced form of Vitamin E, and it also contributes to normal psychological functions.

Vitamin C has become the world's most popular vitamin. The most convincing evidence suggesting the need for vitamin C supplementation is based on the fact that humans are incapable of producing vitamin C in their bodies.

    Thiamin HCl (Vitamin B1)
Thiamin or vitamin B1 is a water-soluble vitamin found in small quantities in a variety of foods including cereal grains, yeast, yeast extract and pork. Thiamine contributes to the normal functioning of the heart and nervous systems. Thiamine contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and psychological functions.

    Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5)
Pantothenic acid or vitamin B5 is a water soluble vitamin found in high concentrations in cereal grains, legumes, eggs, meat, avocados, broccoli and yogurt. Pantothenic acid contributes to normal synthesis and metabolism of steroid hormones, vitamin D and some neurotransmitters. Pantothenic acid contributes to normal mental performance, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and normal energy-yielding metabolism.

    Niacin (Vitamin B3)
Niacin or vitamin B3 is found in dairy products, poultry, fish, lean meats, nuts, eggs, legumes, and enriched breads and cereals. Niacin contributes to nervous system functions and the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes. Niacin contributes to normal psychological functions, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and to normal energy metabolism.

    Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) is a bacterial product naturally found in animal products, especially organ meats such as liver, with small amounts derived from peanuts and fermented soy products, such as miso and tempeh. It is essential that vegetarians consume a vitamin B12 supplement to maintain optimal health. Vitamin B12, when ingested, is stored in the liver and other tissues for later use. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal red blood cell formation, normal cell division, normal immune system functions, and normal homocysteine metabolism. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal neurological and psychological functions, contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and contributes to normal energy metabolism.

    Folic Acid (Quatrefolic®)
Folate is mainly found in fruits and vegetables. Dark, leafy greens, oranges, orange juice, beans, peas and Brewer’s yeast are the best sources. Folate plays a key role by boosting the benefits of vitamin B12 supplementation. Folate contributes to healthy blood cell formation and division, immune system functions, homocysteine metabolism and amino acid synthesis. Folate contributes to psychological functions and contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

    Vitamin B2
Vitamin B2 is found in liver, dairy products, dark green vegetables and some types of seafood. Vitamin B2 serves as a coenzyme, working with other B vitamins. Vitamin B2 plays a crucial role in turning food into energy as a part of the electron transport chain, driving cellular energy on the micro-level. Vitamin B2 is water-soluble and cannot be stored by the body except in insignificant amounts. It must be replenished daily.

Riboflavin contributes to the normal metabolism of iron in the body, the maintenance of normal red blood cells and the normal function of the nervous system. It contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes, normal vision and contributes to the protection of cell constituents from oxidative stress. Riboflavin contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and contributes to normal energy metabolism.

    Vitamin B6
Poultry, fish, whole grains and bananas are the main dietary sources of vitamin B6. B6 is a co-factor required for protein and amino acid metabolism and helps maintain proper fluid balance. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal red blood cell formation, the functioning of the nervous and immune systems, the regulation of hormonal activity and homocysteine metabolism. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal psychological functions, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and normal energy metabolism. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal protein and glycogen metabolism, cysteine synthesis, and it plays a role in the process of cell division.

    Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol)
Regular sunlight exposure is the main way that most humans get their vitamin D. Food sources of vitamin D include vitamin D-fortified milk (2.5 mcg per cup), cod liver oil, and fatty fish such as salmon. Small amounts of vitamin D can be found in egg yolks and liver.

Vitamin D works with calcium to increase bone strength and harden the bones. It works to increase active transport of calcium out of the osteoblasts into the extra-cellular fluid and in the kidneys. Vitamin D contributes to normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus and maintenance of normal blood calcium concentrations. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth. It contributes to normal cell division and to the normal function of the immune system and healthy inflammatory response. Vitamin D also contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function.

    Vitamin E (d-alpha-Tocopherol Succinate)
The most valuable sources of dietary vitamin E include vegetable oils, margarine, nuts, seeds, avocados and wheat germ. Safflower oil contains large amounts of vitamin E and there are trace amounts in corn oil and soybean oil. Vitamin E is actually a family of related compounds called tocopherols and tocotrienols. Vitamin E is available in a natural or synthetic form. In most cases, the natural and synthetic forms are identical except the natural form of vitamin E is better absorbed and retained in the body. The natural form of alpha-tocopherol is known as "d-alpha tocopherol." (The natural form is found in Isotonix Multivitamin with Iron.) The synthetic "dl-" form is the most common form found in dietary supplements. For those individuals watching their dietary fat consumption, which is relatively common in the world of dieting, vitamin E intake is likely to be low, due to a reduced intake of foods with high fat content. Vitamin E is one of the most powerful fat-soluble antioxidants in the body. In turn, vitamin E protects cell membranes from free radical damage.

    Calcium
Sufficient daily calcium intake is necessary for maintaining optimal bone density and healthy bones and teeth. Calcium deficiency has been associated with poor cardiovascular health, poor colon health and poor muscular function. When the body does not get enough calcium per day, it draws calcium from your bones possibly resulting in osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is an age-related thinning of the bones, which may lead to a higher risk of broken hips, ribs, pelvis, weakened bones and stooped posture which comes from an accumulation of small fractures in the vertebrae. Bones become brittle with age, but a calcium rich diet combined with some exercise can go a long way keep bones strong.

The highest concentration of calcium is found in milk. Other foods rich in calcium include vegetables such as collard greens, Chinese cabbage, mustard greens, broccoli, bok choy and tofu. Calcium is an essential mineral with a wide range of biological roles. Calcium exists in bone primarily in the form of hydroxyapatite. Hydroxyapatite accounts for approximately 40 percent of bone weight. The skeleton has a structural requisite and acts as a storehouse for calcium. Apart from being needed for the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, calcium contributes to normal muscle function and neurotransmission. Calcium also contributes to normal blood clotting and normal energy metabolism. It contributes to normal cell division and differentiation. Calcium also contributes to normal function of digestive enzymes.

    Iron (SunActive® Fe)
Iron is mainly found in citrus fruits, tomatoes, beans, peas, fortified bread and grain products such as cereal (non-heme iron sources). Beef, liver, organ meats and poultry comprise the heme iron sources. The heme iron sources are more absorbable than the non-heme type of iron. Iron is an essential mineral. It is a component of haemoglobin, the protein that carries oxygen in the blood, and myoglobin, another protein that carries oxygen in muscle tissue.

Iron is required in red blood cell formation. With this said, teenage girls and women of child bearing age need to consume adequate dietary iron due to their higher requirements.

Iron plays a part in many imperative biochemical pathways and enzyme systems including those involved with energy metabolism, normal cognitive development and immune system function. Iron has been found to promote normal oxygen transport and contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

‡SunActive® Fe is a registered trademark of Taiyo International, Inc.

    Chromium (Picolinate)
Chromium is found naturally in some cereals, meats, poultry, brewer’s yeast, broccoli, prunes mushrooms, fish and beer. Chromium is an essential trace mineral that promotes normal glucose metabolism and regulation of insulin levels. Chromium combines to form something in the body called glucose tolerance factor or GTF, which promotes normal insulin activity in regulating blood sugar levels. Chromium also contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism.

    Copper (Gluconate)
The richest sources of dietary copper derive from organ meats, seafood, nuts, seeds, wheat bran cereal, whole grain products and cocoa products. Copper contributes to the protection of cells against oxidative stress and supports normal iron transport in the body. It is an essential trace mineral. Copper also contributes to the normal functioning of the immune and nervous system and supports normal energy-yielding metabolism.

    Iodine
Iodine is found in most seafood and in iodised salt. It is a necessary component of thyroid hormones and helps regulate and maintain a properly functioning metabolism. It also contributes to normal cognitive function, energy-yielding metabolism, maintenance of normal skin, and the nervous system.

    Manganese (Gluconate & Sulfate)
Manganese is a mineral found in large quantities in both plant and animal matter. The most valuable dietary sources of manganese include whole grains, nuts, leafy vegetables and teas. Manganese is concentrated in the bran of grains, which is often removed during processing. There are several forms of supplementary manganese including manganese gluconate, manganese sulfate, manganese ascorbate, and manganese amino acid chelates.

Only trace amounts of this element can be found in human tissue. Manganese is predominantly stored in the bones, liver, kidney and pancreas. It supports the normal formation of connective tissue, bones, and promotes normal fat and carbohydrate metabolism.

    Potassium (Bicarbonate & Citrate)
Foods rich in potassium include fresh vegetables and fruits such as bananas, oranges, cantaloupe, avocado, raw spinach, cabbage and celery.

Potassium is an essential macromineral that is stored in the muscles and contributes to normal muscle function. It also plays a role in a wide variety of biochemical and physiological processes. Among other things, it supports normal nerve impulses and helps maintain normal blood pressure.

    Selenium
The best dietary sources of selenium include nuts, unrefined grains, brown rice, wheat germ, and seafood. In the body, selenium functions as part of an antioxidant enzyme called glutathione peroxidase, as well as promoting normal growth and proper usage of iodine in thyroid functioning. Selenium also supports the antioxidant effect of vitamin E and is often added to vitamin E supplements. As part of the antioxidant, glutathione peroxidase, selenium plays a direct role in the body’s ability to protect cells from damage by free radicals.

    Zinc (Lactate)
Zinc is largely found in fortified cereals, red meats, eggs, poultry and certain seafood, including oysters. It is a component of multiple enzymes and proteins. It is also involved in the regulation of gene expression. Zinc is an essential trace mineral that has functions in approximately 300 different enzyme reactions. Thus, zinc plays a part in almost all biochemical pathways and physiological processes. More than 90 percent of the body’s zinc is stored in the bones and muscles, but zinc is also found in virtually all body tissues. Zinc supports normal functioning of the immune system, promotes normal cognitive function and supports the maintenance of normal vision

    Biotin (Vitamin B7)
Biotin can be found in food sources such as egg yolks, peanuts, beef liver, milk, cereals, almonds and Brewer’s yeast. Biotin contributes to normal nervous system functions, and to the maintenance of normal skin, hair and mucous membranes. Biotin contributes to normal psychological functions and contributes to normal energy metabolism. Biotin contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism.

We no longer have to put things off when it comes to our nutrition, even with our busy lives. Starting today means feeling better tomorrow. Start today with our Isotonix Daily Essentials Packets! Don't leave home without it!

Why are Isotonix supplements better than standard supplements?
Isotonix formulas are more effective than standard supplement formulas because they offer the best way to get the maximum delivery of vitamins and minerals into the bloodstream. Isotonix formulas are also one of the fastest and most effective way to receive vitamins, minerals and nutrients. The stomach has very little work to do because the pH and tonicity are carefully designed to allow the stomach to quickly release all the nutrients into the small intestine. With the Isotonix formulas, this process takes about five minutes, where a standard vitamin tablet can take up to four hours.

What sets Isotonix OPC-3 apart from other bioflavonoid products?
This science-driven selection of OPCs is unique to Isotonix OPC-3, as is the Isotonix delivery system, which enables rapid and highly efficient absorption of the OPCs. The potent nutrients, in combination with the highly effective delivery system, makes Isotonix OPC-3 the most powerful free-radical-scavenging product available.

Why do I need to take a multivitamin?
A good quality vitamin and mineral supplement creates a sound micronutrient foundation to accompany a balanced diet and aid in the maintenance or improvement of general well-being. Everyone over the age of 18 would find it beneficial to enhance their diet with Isotonix Multivitamin. Eating a balanced diet is always the ideal, however supplements are handy tools when it is difficult to consume the right amounts of vitamins and minerals on a daily basis.

What does “Activated” refer to in Isotonix Activated B-Complex?
Activated refers to the active forms of vitamins B6, B12 and folate. Using forms other than these activated forms requires that the vitamins be enzymatically activated prior to utilisation by the body. Not only does this take time and energy within the body, there are circumstances in which this reaction is either slowed or inhibited.

    Why should I take calcium?
Everyone needs calcium. Practically no one ingests enough calcium in their daily diet. Besides being helpful in supporting and maintaining normal bones and teeth, calcium serves a dynamic role as a mineral. It's very important in the normal activity of digestive enzymes and maintaining normal energy-yielding metabolism. Calcium also contributes to normal muscle function.

I am healthy and athletic, why should I take Isotonix OPC-3?
Everyone is vulnerable to the aging process caused by continuous free radical damage. Athletes tend to be exposed to elevated levels of oxidative stress. Free radicals develop as by-products during metabolism when calories are processed with oxygen. Athletes inhale 10 to 20 times more oxygen during physical activity over rest periods. The increase in activity creates additional free radicals. In fact, these free radicals are known to limit performance, as free radicals appear to take their toll on muscle tissue. The antioxidant and circulatory benefits of OPCs may therefore be a benefit to athletes.

Are there any warnings or contraindications for the products in the Isotonix Daily Essentials Packet?
Isotonix OPC-3, Isotonix Multivitamin, Isotonix Activated B-Complex and Isotonix Calcium Plus are vegetarian products and contains no wheat, gluten, soy, yeast, artificial flavour, starch, salt, preservatives or milk. If you are currently using any prescription drugs, have ongoing medical condition, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should consult your healthcare provider before using these product.
